Why choose reflexology?
Reflexology is an ancient holistic therapy, proven to be effective in promoting a sense of deep relaxation and restoring the natural homeostasis of the body. Reflexology is a touch therapy, based on the theory that areas (referred to as reflexes) of the feet, lower leg, hands, face and ears correspond with different areas/organs of the body. These reflexes are worked with the intention of restoring balance, clearing blockages and restoring the body to a state of natural self healing.
Having reflexology on a regular basis can help counteract the detrimental effects that prolonged stress and anxiety can have on the body. Stand alone sessions are also very beneficial in providing an immediate sense of calm and relaxation.
Following a treatment, you may notice an improvement in your quality of sleep, as well as your mood and overall sense of wellbeing. Some people may feel an emotional release, experience a mild headache or notice an increased need to urinate. This is a natural response to the body removing toxins and these symptoms usually subside within 24 hours. Many people find that other aspects of their health improve following regular sessions, however, this happens on an individual basis and as reflexologists, we do not claim to diagnose or cure conditions.
